MP3 to MIDI

MP3 to MIDI turns a recording into a MIDI file with note pitch, timing, and velocity, so you have an editable starting point instead of a fixed audio track. Drop in an MP3, WAV, or M4A, run the conversion, and preview the result before you download the .mid file.

It's built around how people actually work: the output is a draft, not a finished arrangement. You take the MIDI into Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, GarageBand, Reaper, or Cubase and clean it up from there — quantize timing, remove stray notes, swap in a virtual instrument.

The detection is most accurate on clear, melody-led parts. A dry vocal, a piano phrase, a guitar riff, or a bass line converts far better than a dense full mix with drums and heavy effects, so we tell people upfront to start with the cleanest source they have and isolate a stem when possible.

Everything runs in the browser — no plugin or desktop install. Guests and free users get up to three 30-second previews a day to test a recording before committing to a longer conversion. Uploaded files are cleaned up automatically, so it isn't meant as storage.
