The first real controller I tested was my Xbox Series S controller over Bluetooth. I built Gamepad Bench because diagnosing a controller problem is surprisingly messy: is the stick actually drifting, is a trigger misfiring, or is the issue coming from the game, settings or connection?
Gamepad Bench puts the essential checks in one focused browser workspace:
• see live stick position and drift • check every exposed button and analog trigger • adjust the deadzone threshold • inspect browser-observed polling rate • test without installing software or creating an account
Controller input is processed locally in the browser and isn’t uploaded. The polling-rate figure is a browser estimate, not lab-grade hardware latency.
The first version is intentionally focused and completely free. I’d especially love feedback on:
